Bigger is better- when it comes to choosing artwork that is. In lieu of using wallpaper to finish a wall, hang up a large, visually-appealing piece of artwork.  This adds a colorful texture to the room. And you could change the art, perhaps seasonally or to rotate through a collection. When placed strategically, a large piece of art can create a focal point for a room.

Don’t be afraid to play with your lighting.  Adding dramatic lighting elements can change the ambience of the room.  Choosing a fixture with a unique design can bring something extra to the room in an unexpected way.
