Think about the most successful people you know. What do they have in common? Positive habits they stick to! At Bon Brise Design, we design spaces that help our clients create positive habits that make their lives brighter. When we are creating your design plans, we consider what you and your family’s lifestyle is like and how your home can enhance your lifestyle.

In each home, there are a few spaces we know every family needs to be happier and more productive. Here are a few tips from what we’ve learned!

Workspace for Productivity

Whether you’re an entrepreneur, a stay-at-home parent, or work in an office, you need a place in your home where you can get work done efficiently. Create a space in your home to be your office, where you feel comfortable and inspired. Make sure your desk and work areas are well-organized and in a quiet space where you can focus. We also encourage incorporating art into your workspace to encourage creativity and brighten the room.

Relaxing Bedroom

It’s no secret. You need rest at night to be a more successful and productive person during the day. If you’re not getting your eight hours each night, the design of your bedroom could be the culprit. Every aspect of your bedroom can potentially affect your sleep. Lamps or sconces by the bed make for better reading light. Quality sheets make your bed cozier. Being organized makes it easier to get ready for bed and ready for your day. Soothing colors will relax you while you’re falling asleep. These are all simple changes on their own, but bringing them together isn’t always an easy task if you’ve never tackled home design.

Screen-Free Space

We spend a significant amount of time in front of screens. Whether at work on our computers or at home in front of our tablets or televisions, sitting in front of screens does not encourage creativity or productivity. Somewhere in your home, you should have a screen-free zone. Where you create this space depends on how you enjoy spending your free time. Bookworm? You need a screen-free and cozy reading nook. If you love to paint perhaps a three-season room can be your studio.  If you’re a gardener, perhaps your patio is your muse.  One way or the other, find space in your home, no matter how small, to create a place you can literally get away from it all!

Kitchen for Healthy Eating
Cooking healthy meals is much easier in a kitchen that is easy to use, with plenty of easily accessible storage and counter space. Not only does your kitchen need to be efficient, but it also needs to be a space where you enjoy spending your time. It’s time to organize, repaint, update, and create a kitchen where you love to cook healthy meals for the entire family.
