Working color into a bathroom seems to be something that isn’t done very often these days. Many designs I see show an all-white plan, or perhaps white with dark grey/black. Getting color into your bathroom doesn’t have to be daunting! Our current bathroom project is an example.

The bath is in a home that is mainly done in the Mission style, so we wanted to be sure to bring in a hand-crafted feel, and our homeowners were eager to see soothing colors. Thus, the room features light gray walls, dark slate floor tile, and medium grey wall tile that is unique not only for its 4 x 12” size, but also because it has such a handmade feel to it. It is the accent tiles, however, that breathe the real life to the room. Our glass mosaic tile introduces a palette of blues, and we are topping it all with a crackle-glaze blue chair rail tile. In the end, what was a small bedroom is going to be a lovely, calming place for our homeowners to start and end their day!
