Curtains are a common way to decorate windows and keep out unwanted light. If you’re not a fan of curtains or are looking for a way to embrace natural light but still want to decorate your windows, look no further! There are many ways to incorporate your windows into an interior design without curtains.

Here are four ways to dress your windows without curtains:

Plants

Plants need sunlight, so why not give it to them by putting them near a window? Place potted plants on the window sill for a natural and organic vibe. Flowers will bring color and beauty to the window. Succulents will give the window some personality and liven it up.

Lights

Hang lights from the top to the bottom or across for a decorative way to light up the space and decorate the window. You can also place lights along the trim of the window to highlight the view the window provides.

Candles

What’s more romantic than candles and an amazing view? Create a unique candle design on your window sill with a variety of candle sizes and colors. Hang candles in a jar or vase from the window frame to dangle down into in front of the glass.

Trim

Have a bare window? Add a trim! A trim such as crown molding is modern and easily upgrades your window. Add crown molding just along the top of the window frame, or completely surround the window. This highlights the window and adds a chic design!
