A fair amount of our time is spent in the bathroom getting ready for the day. From simply bathing to applying make up and doing our hair, the bathroom is where we create our look for the day and get ready for bed. Why not design this space to look chic and be efficient for your daily routine? It may seem like a challenge, but with these three tips, you can easily create the perfect bathroom vanity!

 Plenty of Storage

Getting ready for any event can require many products such as make up, brushes, hair spray, etc. Having enough space for these products makes creating your look simple but effective. Cabinets and drawers are necessary for storing the endless amount of products one may have. This way, you’re not constantly over cluttering what counter space you do have or creating a mess. Make a list of the products you currently use to determine how many drawers, cabinets, and shelves are needed.  Also, think about the placement of electrical outlets. For example put an outlet inside the cabinet to keep a hair dryer plugged in and at the ready.

Design

When it comes to cabinets and drawers, we often choose wood like oak, cherry or maple. Develop your perfect color scheme for your space based off of the wood you choose. For example, if you choose a dark wood, selecting a light marble for your counter tops creates a level of contrast. The options are endless! To add some color to the space, paint the wood a color that coincides with your preferred towels, shower curtain, etc. This will create a statement piece in the space!

 Cohesiveness

When designing any space, it’s important to ensure that the colors are cohesive throughout. After selecting the colors for your bathroom, choose hardware such as drawer handles, cabinet knobs and faucets that complements the space. Whether you chose silver or brass depends on your desired design.
